The PP&L utility company has just begun offering rebates to customers who install solar power systems. Residential customers can apply for a solar panel rebate of $2 per watt, up to $5,000.
The rebate program funds are limited, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Southern Chester County Electric wants you to have a fun and safe summer and would like to give you some summer time safety tips.
Remember to test your GFCI breakers and GFCI outlets monthly. If the breakers or outlets are not working properly they should be replaced. These devices will prevent you and your family from electric shock.
Swimming pools, hot tubs and spas should all be protected by GFCI’s. It is important that you avoide running extension cords from inside the house to power outside equipments since your inside outlets are most likely not GFCI protected.
Whole house fans are a great way to cool your house down and save energy. If you have a house that doesn’t have a/c or if you don’t like a/c a whole house fan may be the answer. Read the rest here »
